Valued Living Therapy
Cara Macari, LCSW
At Valued Living Therapy, relief from suffering and personal growth is enhanced by exploring your core values, strengths and goals.
I provide evidence based treatment including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Parent Training and practical skills training to address the challenges of everyday life including mood and anxiety, difficult life transitions, grief and loss.
In addition to working with teens, and adults of all ages, I work with parents who have a child or adolescent with their own emotion or behavior regulation difficulties.
I am passionate about supporting clients in areas of enhancing flexibility, coping with difficult emotions, grief, perfectionism and enhancing connected relationships. I maintain a holistic approach that underscores the connection between physical and emotional well being.
Clients have found strategies learned in my practice are helpful in developing self esteem, resilience and in enhancing relationships in all areas of life. I am willing to challenge those who need it, and allow breathing room to those who require time to feel comfortable therapy.
